'Crawling Up The Stairs' is due out May 14 on Acephale

Pure X’s debut album, Pleasure, was a dark and blissful soundtrack to every late-night, contemplative drive there’s ever been. The Austin trio’s dreamy blend of organic instrumentation and blurry vocals created a hypnotic landscape of sounds best reserved for headphone solitude.
Their sophomore output, Crawling Up The Stairs, is due out May 14 on Acephale, but in the meantime, the band has announced a string of tour dates and revealed “Someone Else” off of the upcoming full-length. The new track maintains the slow-and-low vibe of “Pleasure” but pulls through with notably more clairvoyant vocals that relay a visceral pain not found in the band’s earlier work.
